Our canopies come with a 10 year guarantee and a life expectancy of 20 years. The shelters are pretty self-contained and require mimimal attention from the day they go up, to 20 years down the line.
The only thing you MUST do to ensure maximum life capacity of your new canopy is make sure the gutters stay clear.
Think of a car sat stationary for a long time - it builds up a layer of dirt, moss and general grime. This cannot be prevented on any piece of outdoor furniture, but the tensile fabric of the canopy means one wipe and all the dirt comes off. No scrubbing or scraping - the dirt will never stick or stain the surface. Simple! You can use washing up liquid and a soft brush.
Even so, that's only for aesthetics. The only part of the canopy that is an absolute neccessity to clean is the gutters. If the gutters get clogged with moss and other materials, water cannot drain properly and you may start encountering problems. Luckily, it's just a case of removing the obstructions and enjoying your canopy for another year.
